Technical Innovation
- Ray-Tracing compatible: camera runs in Dx12 and Dx11 Unreal levels (i.e. works with raytraced shadows + lighting)
- Almost zero-latency and computational overhead: faster than NDI and less computationally expensive than capture cards.
- Can output multiple, simultaneous real-time video streams from a single level with resolutions up to 4K.
Ease-of-Use
- Zero configuration: just drop the camera into your scene and it streams video output immediately.
- Camera is just an Unreal Actor: parent it to anything, move it anywhere, control with blueprints / sequencer etc…
- Does not block your viewport: video streams from the background allowing you to continue to interact with your scene without affecting the video output
Cross-Compatibility
- Can send real-time video to any SPOUT receiver program such as Notch, Resolume, Touch Designer (see full list here)
- Can be combined with our open source SPOUT-OBS Plugin for live-streaming direct from Unreal to any online destination via OBS.
- Can be used in Editor view or packaged into an executable.
